Production Superintendent

· Provide leadership and direction for the full the implementation of the Loss control program in U300. Ensuring that all his subordinates are aware of the progress of the program is involved in the development and enhancement of the program and to ensure that each step of the program is fully understood and implemented. · Provide leadership and direction towards the implementation and maintenance of the QA system in accordance with ISO 9001 as applicable to Unit 300. · Direct the operation of the Unit300 to achieve the Production plan. · Ensure the plant is operated within the Primary and Secondary operating parameters for the Unit 300 so as to achieve quality objectives. Identify and implement plans to maximize the level of quality compliance. Also make sure deviations from the set limits are corrected at the earliest opportunity. · Ensure operation of Unit 300 within the set environmental emission limits for gaseous, liquid, solid or particulate emissions. · Ensure Unit 300 operating procedures are strictly followed and are continually improved upon. Ensure all personnel in Unit 300 are made aware of the changes to or implementation of new procedures. · Provide leadership and direction for optimum usage of raw material, utilities and process chemicals to produce raw Titanium Dioxide at minimum cost. · Ensure optimum usage of raw materials in U300 within budget with minimum wastage. · Oversee planned maintenance and shut down work and provide direction to the operating staff to ensure the best use of maintenance resources. · Maintain plant reliability records on day to day basis. · Minimize lost Production by evaluating downtime records, identifying the recurring problems and eliminate or minimize the problems through preventative and predictive maintenance programs or plant modifications and improved operating procedures. · Identify bottlenecks and other output controlling factors and offer remedial options through process engineering input to the CCR system in the implementation of the agreed improvements. · Authorize and control documentation related to daily operating guidelines, Permission to deviate, EOD’s and Process Non-Conformances for the Unit as applicable. · Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to Day Supervisor, Process engineer and Shift Supervisor’s for day to day operation of the Unit 300. Evaluate and review their performance at regular intervals as per company procedures. · Exercise administrative control for effective manpower management to make best use of available manpower resources. Regulate vacation leave and control overtime expense within budget. · To develop and maintain good industrial relations at all times. · Provide motivation, encouragement and support necessary to maintain a high level of morale amongst the operating personnel of Unit 300 at all times. · Develop employee skills by initiation and monitoring of training programs for all levels of staff and in particular ensuring success of the company’s Saudization program in the longer term. · Prepare and present daily Production report for the Unit to the Production Manager well before the daily morning meeting through the computer network. · Prepare and present month end stock report for the Unit to the Production
