Job Summary: Responsible for managing the preventive and reactive
Maintenance of the whole Central Utility Plants, Network and Systems including all associated equipments. Provides supervision and overall administrative leadership of KAUST
Utilities Maintenance. Oversee the protection of KAUST
Utilities assets. Interact with other services managers. Monitor Service Provider performance to ensure adequate and sufficient service is provided safely and professionally. Major Responsibilities: Reviews plan for new facilities form a
Maintenance point of view and makes recommendations to improve efficiency,
Maintenance and safety of operations. Makes decisions regarding job priorities, equipment utilization, repair alternatives and
Maintenance methods. Establish and monitor Key Performance Indices (KPI’s) for Preventive
Maintenance programs and Reactive
Maintenance work in all
Utilities plants, satellite substations, underground mechanical networks, electrical networks and
Utilities equipment in all KAUST locations. Work closely with engineering personnel for technical consultancy as deemed. Makes periodic inspections of
Utilities Maintenance to assure that
Maintenance instructions and standards are being met, that repairs and adjustments are being properly made, that safety, work permit rules are being observed and good housekeeping rules are being maintained. Ensures that all preventive
Maintenance within the plant are carried out safely in accordance with KAUST’s EHS policies and procedures, including hazard/accident reporting, accident investigations and maintaining proper standards of housekeeping. Coordinates with department staff in development of operating budget and contracts under his jurisdiction. Ensure availability of qualified and sufficient staff to cover the
Utilities Maintenance various activities in 24/7 operations. Maintaining safe stock critical spare parts for the critical equipment in
Utilities plants and networks. Establishing relationship between preventive and corrective
Maintenance and the equipment causing most downtime with highest number of faults. Manage his area efficiently and within the approved budget. Ensure sufficient number of work permit issuers and receivers to execute all required cold and hot jobs within the Division’s area of responsibilities. Conduct safety audits and reviews and ensure that all corrective actions are properly followed up. Ensure all near misses are timely reported, documented, corrected and forwarded to HSE for tracking purposes. Disseminate all risk information developed by the division, and make it readily available and accessible to all parties that require this information. Ensure that structured, effective training and certification programs and resources are developed and provided to employees and service providers. Monitor the progress and implementation of corrective actions and recommendations arising from accident investigations, engineering reviews, insurance surveys, compliance reviews, near miss incidents and emergency drills. Continuous enhancement of
Maintenance activities targeting best performance,
